The *layers* to this are incredible. The fried fish in fish & chips was brought to Britain by Sephardi Jews. The chips arrived from France/Belgium in the 1800s. British style chippies exist in Mallorca to cater to tourists and (pre-Brexit) retirees in Spain. The Alam brothers added spice from Lahore
