I know archaeology is small potatoes, but if you are an American archaeologist with a foreign project, it is 1) unethical to work without local collaborators and 2) often required that you have them in order to receive a permit. Of course, they're getting rid of NEH and NSF SBE next year, too, so 😬🤷🏻♂️
