The watcher in the hedge - a Little Owl owlet who has recently fledged & emerged into the light.
This species loves to nest at the end of a long tunnel-like structure which is defendable against all-comers - important given it's small stature.

Fantastic to look out the kitchen window & see fledged #raptors waiting to be fed.
Kestrels & Little Owls nested in the same tree & fledged within days of each other and now share the same fence line.
