This. I'm from the West Indies. I have no ties to any other region. Never lived anywhere else. But on Amazon in the US, UK, anywhere else really, my novel, The Nightward, an explicitly West Indian inspired fantasy, is listed under African American. All black artists are not American either.

Kinda makes me think of how some book stores would group all Black authors into one genre under “African American”
