The biggest scare, though, happened during the preshow commercials when I saw an ad for War dot gov. That shit made the hair on my arms stand on end.

Finally made it to see The Backrooms. Really dug what Kane Parsons did here.
I went in sort of hesitant, but fully intrigued, because Skinamarink had similar buzz around it but did not land with me. Backrooms though, very much hit the right points of unease.

The place was up on the 2nd floor of an office type suite. Super narrow stairs and just down the hall from a law firm. If you weren’t looking for it, you’d never find it. I want to find a shop like that. A kind of goth/punk Narnia.

Can’t sleep, still up thinking about how much I miss shopping at Anchorage’s only goth/alt shop, Subterranea. That is until Hot Topic moved in & gobbled up their demographic & they closed.
