On Wednesday, July 1st, 2026, come out and cheer on Canada. As one of the World Cup’s host countries, you can expect plenty of soccer (or football, if you prefer)‑themed celebrations happening throughout our communities. All events are free and family-friendly. Consider taking transit as road restrictions are effect for the festivities alongside the ongoing World Cup at BC Place Stadium. All TransLink services will operate on their Sunday/Holiday schedule. Royal Canadian Navy ships docked at the Shipyards in North Vancouver on July 1, 2025. Vancouver One of the region's largest celebrations is downtown at Canada Place.
