Latest preprint from @bodybrainbehaviour.bsky.social by @teresaberther.bsky.social and @martinasaltafossi.bsky.social on cardio-respiratory modulation of arousal and excitability states in the human brain - overlap, distinctions, and implications for brain-body #neuroskyence. osf.io/preprints/ps...
German release only for now, but I'm excited that @bodybrainbehaviour.bsky.social is part of this CRC: Together with stellar collaborators, we will study excitability and connectivity changes in neuroinflammation, their roles in visual perception, and potential bodily contributions. #neuroskyence
Incredible place and wonderful people - if this could be for you, consider applying!
Our article on the relationships between the heartbeat counting task (HCT) and psychological measures is finally out in @royalsocietypublishing.org Following @olivierdesmedt.bsky.social line of research, we found a moderation effect of the instructions on the relationship between HCT and STAI-T.
Excited to share our new paper in PLOS Biology! We asked a simple question: when we perceive an odor as weak or strong, does oscillations in the human olfactory system represent the physical concentration of the odor, or our subjective perception of its intensity? 🧵👇
We are launching Interoception Circle! A new seminar series on embodiment, psychophysiology & body-brain coupling 1st online talk tomorrow: “What Role for Interoception in Perception? Evidence from Heartbeat-Evoked Potentials” (Marie Loescher) 3 June, 12pm CEST. All welcome! 🔗 ace2lab.com/2581-2/
New preprint from down under: Can acute TMS effects on dynamic brain states predict subsequent symptom change during treatment for depression? www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6... #restinstateEEG #TMS #Depression #HMM #longitudinal
