Count the seconds between the flash of lightning and the sound of thunder:
➗ ÷5 = distance in miles
➗ ÷3 = distance in kilometres
Fun fact: lightning can heat the air to around 30,000 Kelvin — about 5x hotter than the Sun's surface! 🌡️
Basic numeracy remains essential for people using AI, given the significant risk of AI hallucinations and need to critically evaluate and interpret data.
