It’s a pretty on-brand dicking over of someone by the Time Lords, and it made me wonder what all kinds of things did The Doctor do before becoming the 1st Doctor and thinking that was their first form when it really wasn’t?

I also like how The Timeless Child revelation echoes Omega from Three Doctors. He gave them the ability to time travel & they left him for dead in an antimatter universe, & The Doctor gave them the ability to regenerate & then they made them into their guinea pig for who knows how long?
It also made that scene from The Brain of Morbius when Morbius has a battle of the mind with the 4th Doctor & they both see the Doctor’s past regenerations further than just William Hartnell make sense in retrospect. Seemed like a big hanging “what?” no one touched on until 13, unless I’m mistaken.
Honestly, I think the Chibnal era is underrated & felt like things were moving in interesting directions
Like, holy shit, The Doctor has a slew of other regenerations they didn’t know about because that part of their life was wiped from memory by the Time Lords?
