Interesting that Hornby did make a more TV series looking-esk Thomas the whole time. Albeit for the clockwork range (That wasn't the 0-4-0) and that battery powered Thomas and Bertie set. But never for the regular electric range.
My original plan was to keep the cab intact and just make the edges of the firebox more rounded. But it didn't work. So I'll be doing what Awdry did with his Donald model and fashion a new cab. I've already ordered a PCV pipe for the rest of the boiler.
Some new concept of the other engine owned by the same group who own Dom's basis: Warwickshire.
Sort of kind of started Donald.
I've removed the number and BR crest for a start and now trying to modify the tender.

Got some white weathering powder and applied it to Mavis. Given she works at the quarry it only made sense to give her this.
Donald's wheel splashers have been modified. The boiler and cab are gonna be the tricky parts. And I definitely know the tender will be a nightmare.
The result of boredom and curiosity. This was made in MS Paint. While MS Paint may be considered amateurish for photo editing compared to something like Photoshop, but honestly I'll take MS Paint over AI anyday.
I've removed the lining on Dom's sandboxes. (I think they're sandboxes) as it looked very bad and not very neat. Might either redo the lining or just leave them blank.
Oh for the record, just because Dom is present in this image doesn't mean it's always 'Steam Railway Stories' related.
