I'll go against the grain a bit here, Basil didn't mind it. The ancients were a little weird and touchy and straight up insulting on a few occasions, but he got treats out of the deal so it wasn't so bad. I like to think he enjoyed being just "a familiar" instead of the hero for a bit.

People’s whose WOL is one of the more “beastly” races like the ones listed here, how did they feel about the way the Ancients in Elpis treated them as a “familiar?“ And did that have an effect on how they viewed Meteion?

another thing that really gets me about elpis is that if you're playing a miqo'te, au ra, hrothgar, or viera, meteion is the first person you meet in the ancient unsundered past who looks anything like you. and then you learn exactly what the ancients think of her.
