Wrapping up year 30 in the classroom today. How many more years? Not sure. Kids are still smiling back, so—for now—I’ll keep going. Hope I leave before they stop.

If our data is only as reliable as our assessments, then… Yeah. Think about that one for a while. There’s probably more to the data story than we’re willing to admit. All data should probably come with an asterisk. And we know it. We can do better. #Project180

If it were simply science, you’d think we’d be beyond the experimental. Not saying it’s not science. Am saying it’s not science alone. It’s also art. Maybe mostly art. For every kid a unique set of colors. For whom a teacher’s brush must mix and make. Maybe it’s magic.
