“Pride in the past, Faith in the future,” is the official motto of the city of Monterey Park. That future will not include data centers. Residents have so far voted more than 86% in favor of Measure NDC to permanently ban data centers.
Pretty cool that a progressive running toward—not away from—the climate crisis won nearly 2 million votes for governor. Too bad a Trump-endorsed Republican got 2.1 million. The general election could have been a real and vigorous debate about what can make life healthier and more affordable in CA.
