I'm suddenly reminded of a thread from October 2020, when the cyberpunk 2077 devs made it very clear that they categorically did not understand the source material they were drawing from.
Imagine the takeaway from Ghost in the Shell being "maybe she is augmented too much, maybe she is unclean."
