I wondered aloud a couple of months ago if Iran could take down a U.S. aircraft by just flying an FPV drone right into its face and it seems like that's actually what they did to take down the Apache attack helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz.

One thing I keep thinking about as we are preparing for this ground invasion is how effectively Ukraine was able to repel Russian airborne with essentially MANPADs.
The technology has advanced a lot: Could Iran fly an FPV drone into the face of a C-130 or CH-53 or other troop transport?
