Absolutely ridiculous. The team's name is the Grenadiers, literally soldiers. Their revolution is at the center of Haitian identity and was a turning point in world history. Imagine telling the US they couldn't celebrate their historic revolutionary war.
Pretty much sums up last night
When there's so much that divides people about whether or not racial and ethnic minorities should have basic rights, it's great to bond by watching a majority-Black sport's athletes performing for our entertainment without acknowledging that obvious reality
