Is there a word for the awful feeling you get when your 'timely' (yuck) novel-in-progress set in a historical period of rising fascism in the UK becomes even more so...?
I'm on day 1 of a strict 28-day break from writing The Novel, which I've been immersed in since January. Turns out I've been very much hiding from the real world in my own fictional world for all these months... I'm not in the mood to write owt else so I suppose I'd better get back into reading, eh?
What I read in May... Which turned out to be not much, because I was neck-deep in my own novel! But I did love The Dispossessed.
