When the world's first trillionaire is an actual ideological neo-Nazi who is personally responsible for 750,000 unnecessary deaths, it's hard to blame young people for concluding that capitalism simply does not work.
The tacit acceptance by so many politicians, media etc. that mass violence against all immigrants is somehow an understandable reaction to a crime by one immigrant continues to baffle me. Do they not see how insane this is?
Cue rather than queue. The age is really showing now.
Someone in Belfast made the point yesterday that the guys organising the violence didn't take their queue from Musk but from sources closer to home, Robinson, Reform, Farage etc.
This seems rooted in old style British imperial nostalgia racism more than the new American variety. More BNP than KKK.
And yet where we would be without American culture. There are few things better than the best of the place and few things worse than the worst of it. The land of extremes.
