With over 300 publications covering many topics, VON contributes to research and quality improvement. This article, from van Dyk J, et al., examines surfactant use and outcomes in high versus middle income countries and included 271,826 inborn VLBW infants from 2018 to 23. bit.ly/4cQGh23 #neosky
At VON, we know that improving care begins with understanding the experiences of the diverse families we serve. Through collaboration and QI, our members work to create environments where babies and families can thrive and we celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of LGBTQI+ parents.
Today is NEC Awareness Day. At VON, we track rates of NEC every year and while rates of these outcomes have been steady, there is variation in outcomes when sorted by race. We encourage centers to use this data for quality improvement to improve the care and outcomes of infants and families. #neosky
One of the most valuable experiences at the VON Quality Congress is the time spent learning from teams about real-world, data-driven improvement. We invite you to share your improvement stories and research during the Poster Session. No abstracts are required to bring a poster. bit.ly/VONQCPosters

NEC awareness starts with understanding the whole story. The VON VLBW Database captures critical data points across the NICU stay-from antenatal steroids and maternal factors to NEC outcomes and human milk feeds at discharge-helping NICU teams turn data into quality improvement. #neosky bit.ly/VLBW
Join Dr. John Zupancic this November at the VON Quality Congress! Not only will he be presenting the Roger Soll, MD, Lecture on Evidence Based Medicine, he’ll also be at the poster session and of course the social event! #von #nicu #VONQC26 bit.ly/QCAgenda
Our newest Grand Rounds is available to watch now! This webinar and discussion focuses on the use of erythropoiesis-stimulating agents for the prevention of anemia and improving neurodevelopmental outcome in preterm newborns. A VON log-in is required to view. Learn more at: bit.ly/4mfxRTt #neosky
One of VON's core values is collaboration. To us, that means collaborating with teams and the community. And we believe everyone has a role in improving care. We want all our team members to come together and hope you will join us for the VON Quality Congress. #neosky bit.ly/QC26Registra...
