Many replies here seem to believe that joining is a unilateral decision. It isn't! EU and each Member State has a big say.
The EU hasn't forgotten how UK left a organisation it never was fully committed to.
The subsequent insults and ridicule & politically, UK hasn't changed.
Why let UK join?
