I’d *love* to see splashy profiles of reporters who spend their days (and nights) where AI can’t go — the ones who haunt the court clerk’s office or the state house, who always have the police scanner on, who attend more school board meetings than the board members do.

There's enough recently laid off journalistic talent to staff and run 3-5 midsize to large news organizations.
