You can also let the City Council and Mayor you support this measure using this link: https://win.newmode.net/alivenessproject/bathhouseban
2. Public Hearing On Repealing The Bathhouse Ban WEDNESDAY! 6/17 at 1:30pm. The ban on bathhouses stems from discrimination and stigmatization of the LGBTQ+ community and creates barriers to safer spaces and sexual healthcare advocacy. It’s time to address this historical wrongdoing.
1. Public Hearing On Data Center Moratorium TOMORROW! Tuesday, 6/16 at 1:30pm. We need to hear from you on what kind of regulation and approach you want to see the City take on data centers. The Council will take another vote on the moratorium at the end of June. Join to make your voice heard!
TWO IMPORTANT PUBLIC HEARINGS COMING UP!
I am grateful for the work of community leaders and my predecessor, former Council Member Andrea Jenkins, that has made this project possible. This park, and implementing the 38th Street THRIVE plan which will bring much needed investments to the area, are some of my top priorities.
I am excited for this project that will bring much needed investment and attention to the 38th street corridor. https://www.startribune.com/pocket-park-38th-4th-old-southside-history/601852769
I am proud to have led the effort to protect homeowners, businesses and property owners in the George Floyd Square area from costly special assessments. It’s time for the City to invest this area where it has caused harm.
“The city was seeking a more than $630,000 assessment to help pay for the $15 million construction project that’s underway — but in unanimous support, the council voted to not charge home, business and property owners”
