During last night’s @wonderville.nyc’s 777th birthday bash, @kleeb.bsky.social's business partner/wife surprised the crowd with an old @kotaku.com profile of Mark discussing his dream of a dedicated space for indie arcade cabs before it became a reality (see youtu.be/RFLyiqDNLJI)
For those who weren't at the party two weeks ago were able to watch the video when I played during FORT90 TV this past Monday, and if you weren't around for that, there's the VOD (see kick.com/fortninetyte...), tho it goes down this coming Monday (or you can just watch it on YouTube I guess)
TONIGHT! "Broadcasting" from @wonderville.nyc it's FORT90 TV!
Yes, am back from roaming the streets of Japan, tho I mostly walked down the aisles of game centers & game stores, and I happen to have a faily decent facsimile; stream starts at 8:00PM EST…

For anyone curious about the radio silence, am still here, just been absurdly busy as of late
Alas I just don't have the bandwidth I once did for social media, unlike Kojima, who has time to post tweets AND wait 2 hours for a pastrami at Katz's (yes, that's how long the wait is these days)
Even tho OsonosSimpleLife is my primary source of inspiration, cuz their collection is similarly modest, I nevertheless also love watching YouTube vids that feature others with massive collections (via www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNn9... )…
Last night I went to the @nyugamecenter.bsky.social Showcase 2026 and the student project that I dug the most was Skame (see store.steampowered.com/app/4628040/... )…
Been back from Japan for a month now & getting back in the groove has been tricky, this is actually my first time logging on & am trying to play catch up… tho I at least already know about this (which I saw first on YouTube; a weekly deadline means FORT90 TV is a priority; via youtu.be/C-reQ4HmJds)
… I gave the devs, naturally fresh faced college kids, some advice, the kind that someone pushing 50 (who used to game journalist, also game developer) would give, like putting the hilarious FMV intro online (maybe it'll be on their IG one day; see www.instagram.com/playskame)
… And then you have those who have straight up transformed their homes into game centers (via www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG7T...)
There was actually a decent amount of game-adjacent content alongside (that I neglected to promote on this end, sorry about that, but again there's a replay), including footage of a gone but not forgotten classic NYC arcade I wrote about 20 years ago (omg; see web.archive.org/web/20210419...)
