This is the take. It sucks to learn about a coworker or company's alleged behaviour, and be left thinking "...Okay, now what? The ink is already dry." This is especially awful if someone's accused of a crime, because speaking out without a smoking gun is a recipe for a defamation lawsuit.

You're fine! I think most people need to realize just that; not EVERYONE knows everything, and there CAN be folks who are not aware of stuff going on. It definitely pays to be gentle and to inform others without being abrasive! ^^;
