I work for family services in Belfast. Due to the risk of racist violence we've just been officially told that all our contacts and community outreach have been cancelled. Which means families and children won't get the support that they need.
Absolutely disgusting.
Keir Starmer's spokesman tells me there has been "no change" to the Government's policy on using X, despite Elon Musk helping to incite the hateful scenes we saw in Belfast last night.
Also no new plans to take action against X for its role in the violence
Been receiving messages like those all morning. Buses are temporarily suspended; full suspension at 5pm. Schools closed at 11; many businesses were due to close at 1.
