Zealotry to narrative is as corrosive as any other artistic cult.
You may be good at narrative. You may even LOVE narrative.
But narrative will never love you back.

Ppl will be like "if the sex scene has no narrative value it shouldn't be included." Ok, jokes have no narrative value. Does costuming have narrative value? The set dressing? Maybe some parts of a story can just be there because they are ENJOYABLE. What a concept
