Lowen has had their beautifully evocative poem entitled ‘A Dream of St Ives’ published in the YSJ ‘Folklore Anthology - Bedtime Stories’. “All that remained to mark their lives -Those seven wives of old St Ives - Were empty frames in empty homes, Their paintings daubed upon the stones.”
Lowen Frampton-Thorburn & Clare Lesley Hughes recently held a joint event at YSJ for York International Shakespeare Festival. Lowen recited/performed verses from plays containing botanical elements whilst Clare shared folklore stories. Plants discussed were rosemary, apple, cowslip, hawthorn & thyme

📣 🚨 Receiving proofs is still a novel experience for me as an early career researcher. But I hope the thrill of seeing my work set out in a publication’s house-style never palls. Here’s the abstract for my forthcoming essay in #OpenPhilosophy journal for @degruyterbrill.bsky.social. #Sound
