Even if the kids using this language don't know that they're casually throwing around the lingo of internet Nazis, it's still really bad and dangerous that a bunch of kids are talking like internet Nazis. I'm also not convinced that none of them know that it's an internet Nazi thing.
The implication of this "New York Times" headline is that "goy" is simply a slang term used by Generation Z now, no longer attached to antisemitic implications. I think this is not only wrong, but rather dangerous for the newspaper to be printing.
