Bill is correct as usual. Removing public space because we can't find a constructive response to unsheltered homelessness is the ultimate admission of failure.
It is surrender in the face of a growing and disturbing problem, and our city will never thrive until we find real solutions.

Prediction: having closed the 24th St bridge some of the homeless people will move down to the Sabo bridge, which is an even more important link (I'll be happy to be wrong, and there's no easy answers to this problem)
