In my day, you’d start listening to Dead Kennedys or REM or Megadeth, then find other people who also like Dead Kennedys or REM or Megadeth. Then you’d meet a *girl* (or a *guy*) who liked Dead Kennedys or REM or Megadeth and also liked you 🥰 Then you would feel less isolated
