Went back to another old drawing of mine and I still firmly believe Jafar stroked the hell out of his ego (and cock) when he became a genie~
Slurp—being the freak that he is—is very receptive to his eccentric behavior and they complement each other very well when interacting
Slurp actively encourages him to not be afraid to be weird, and he overcomes any reservations he had over doing that out of fear of being judged for his appearance
Afterwards he develops that "special language" specifically for Slurp and Slurp alone to understand what he's thinking and meaning to say, and Slurp learns the meanings of his movements over time
From there, the guy becomes significantly more emotive with his body, more comfortable with being weird

He normally speaks in sign language, but Slurp—much like myself irl—doesn't know sign language, and therefore can't understand him
This gets the guy thinking, and he comes up with the idea to communicate via his body movements, which Slurp happens to be able to far more easily pick up on as they go
