Maybe we should stop placing erratic psychos in charge of national security decisions
Kilmeade would have encouraged the 1863 draft riots
It’s like he’s ontologically a rapist, he can’t conceptualize his relations to other human beings in any other way

Buckley, who can hardly conceal his excitement at the politicide here, is emblematic of a broader trend in American political discourse. He minimizes the agency of the local actors involved, and credits the US for developments deemed favorable
As for Hartke’s rebuttal that the Indonesian political scene was more complicated, he correctly points out that, at the time, the country’s foreign ministry was openly supporting the DRV and calling for the US to withdraw from Vietnam. Suharto and the military, of course, thought differently.
When I first watched this debate I couldn’t quite follow this part. After looking into it, what Senator Hartke refers to as the ‘typical example which is cited by people of our strong stand’ was indeed a common talking point(screenshot from my notes, source is the congressional record).

Kilmeade to an agreeing Markwayne Mullin: "In Belfast they're standing up because their leaders have let them down. They're trying to take their country back. They want to label them as racist. All they want to be is Irish. They want Ireland back. I see a lot of the same fights here."

Trump can’t have a deal that they consent to, its like kind of the core of what making a deal means for him
