I've seen his work in many museums and had no idea until recently that Yinka Shonibare was disabled
My friend Matt Sesow lost a hand in a childhood accident. His paintings are in museums
Off the top of my head, some great disabled artists:
Frida Kahlo
Matisse
Beethoven
Van Gogh
Toulouse-Lautrec
Monet
Ray Charles
Chuck Close
Stevie Wonder
Sigh… people doing this is probably why Pinterest thinks *my* art is AI generated.
It doubly hurts artists coz then people think ‘ew, you use AI’ or ‘ew, your work looks like AI’ and don’t wanna hire us 🙄
I have embellished this lily of the valley cyanotype with a couple of linocuts: the Karner blue butterfly and hummingbird clearwing moth.
I think I should do some more #multimedia with #cyanotype.

Someone posted a comment about me & others in Norwegian, so I popped it into Google Translate, which defaulted to French.
It translated it to “here you will learn more about ghosts.”
So, I switched it to English and got “here you will find a fantastic bouquet of women to follow.” I have questions.
I noticed the long grass in the school yard and got curious. When I learned it was Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis, also known as smooth meadow-grass) I knew I needed to make a cyanotype.
The blue of the cyanotype evokes the blue of the bluegrass. I have made two prints combining bluegrass sheet music (an excerpt of Bill Monroe’s Blue Grass Stomp) and the bluegrass itself.
