Many thanks to all attendees of the GfG Sympsoium "Epigenetics & Chromatin" for making this conference such a great success! Go to www.gfgenetik.de for more information and fotos. Become a GfG member!
The GfG congratulates Anna Righetti, who won the GfG-sponsored Poster Award at the GBM RNA Biochemistry meeting for her outstanding poster “Structure and function of the non-conventional RNA splicing machinery.”
On Feb 4, the GfG workshop 'On the Path to a Professorship' brought early-career researchers to Berlin for practical advice on applications and insider tips for the next career step. Thanks to Ann Ehrenhofer-Murray, Sandra Hake, and Reinhard Köster for organizing! Next workshop planned for 2027/28.
It has been a lot of fun to present our research focus and get to know the @gfgenetik.bsky.social! Thank you so much for having me and organising this great symposium! Looking forward to the next one!

Just half a day in and it’s been a blast, with really incredible talks here on Giessen!

This one feels special: our latest work on subtelomeric heterochromatin is now on www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1.... This story was driven by the virtuoso PhD work of Agnisrota Mazumder @agnisrota.bsky.social, co-mentored with @al-sadylab.bsky.social, and grew out of our #MSCA Cell2Cell network.
This was truly an amazing meeting😍! Rarely have I had such fruitful exchanges with exceptional scientists. Thanks so much to @gfgenetik.bsky.social and especially @hake-chromatin.bsky.social and team for providing this opportunity🙏. I’m feeling the post-conference motivation high🤩.
