David Hockney, died aged 88, was a camera chronicling his time who managed to stay fresh and relevant through decades of change. I didn't engage with all his work, but "Mr. and Mrs. Clark and Percy", made in 1970-71, was a perfect love poem to both its era and art history. May he rest in peace.
