Political content. Cutting through the distraction. Focusing on what's broken: the system, the media and the economy as well as on the climate crisis. Dev Raval is the human running this account.

Not just 100+ Labour MPs that want Starmer to go but also Foreign Secretary Home Secretary Energy Secretary + A "sizeable number" in the Cabinet Starmer is a fool he should go on Monday. Cabinet on Wednesday and then PMQs will be vicious. He can't be dumb enough not to say he's quitting before then?
1 of 2 Beth Rigby and the political press are getting very excited. Let's apply some cold water. Makerfield was a referendum on the most unpopular PM in modern polling history. Voters had one simple calculation: vote Andy, get Starmer out.

Shame on every news programme and presenter who doesn't make clear the social media ban for under 16s actually means a national digital ID scheme for every adult who uses a device. Added bonus, US tech oligarchs like Musk will hold this ID data.

2 of 2 No other seats by-election or general election, will ever replicate those conditions. This tells us nothing about Labour's ability to beat Reform. It tells us everything about how toxic Starmer has become. 🌿

Starmer's biggest failure? Nobody knew what he stood for. We're about to hand the keys to No.10 to a man with no manifesto, no declared positions on the biggest issues of the moment, and no plan beyond not being Starmer. Full post: substack.com/profile/4178...
Today the media is full of "who could have seen this coming?" Many of us could. In 2020. Six years ago I wrote that Starmer was on track to be the worst Labour leader ever. Not after the local election wipeout. In 2020, before he'd even had a full year. dravalblog.wordpress.com/2020/08/07/i...

This is spot on. 👇 The MoD can't manage its current budget, the "Russia invades Britain" scenario is never actually spelled out, Trident's whole purpose contradicts the invasion panic, and benefit cuts are the only funding option anyone's allowed to mention. Worth a read.
