the more impressionistic color they use in some areas in the expansion is really a daring choice. i personally really like it- the entire place feels steeped in magic, like there is some sort of strange power continuously manifesting it. live.
you know, it took the hardware failure on my old computer keeping me from booting into windows, but i realized today that linux feels like home now. windows is the one that feels like a stranger.
i find myself fascinated by the initial octagonal well with the statue in the center. the pillar, center, is the top of the headdress of the statue in the second pic. she seems to be a pre-Marika deity. i have to brush up on my lore, i don't remember details.
see, look at the wall on the right, and these proto-jars(?)! isn't it wonderful how they feel almost like a watercolor wash over pencil or something? it really adds to the feel of the space!
i wonder if these jars also have people in them?

My skybox update-per-movement is fucked up a bit, and my planets are smol. Many things to address.
today i returned to my elden ring playthrough! i spent a while exploring specimen storage, trying to find the entrance to Rauh ruins, and have done a few early forays. it's one of my favorite places.
