My old work ruler, which demonstrates sans and san serif font sizes in a Yorkshire accent so that I can understand it.
Well. This was prescient.
Modern life is rubbish.
RIP David Hockney. What a life, and what a legacy.
Spent the entire day with old friends, including one who now lives in Australia that I haven't seen for 20 years. It was as if we'd last seen each other a week ago.
Cherish your friends. Cherish your family.
My favourite David Hockney work. It depicts Hockney at the counter of the Sea Catch fish and chip shop, Eccleshill - where it hung on the wall from 1954 (when it was gifted by Hockney) to 1970 when the shop closed.
David Hockney😭 so much to say about him. As a fellow Bradfordian, as someone who worked in the Hockney gallery in Saltaire for 23 years, as someone who saw a man who just loved doing what he did, a man who just loved life.
Here’s my photograph of him in Salts Mill a few years ago.
Cheerio, sir.
