Higher ed idea: Philly has ~10 Catholic colleges/universities; most struggling. Their sponsoring religious orders should collab on starting the new "Philadelphia Catholic College." Urban campus. One BA offered: liberal arts. Mission office incorporates the various charisms into college life. 💯

Lonergan is a sneaky kind of funny. I found this part of Insight where he explains that metaphysics is general, and so can’t tell you everything, and ALSO… a lot like knowing thermodynamics won’t make you warm, so knowing metaphysics won’t make you experience things. (subtext: duh, you fools)

Incredible line from a grand juror in the Broadview 6 case, who had just asked the prosecutors why they get "unlimited tries" to indict people they don't want to indict: "I heard this case like last week and I thought it was a crock of shit then and I still think it is."
