My favorite thing about animation is the way color design / color palettes (lighting) can make a scene more interesting. I feel like most people miss what they do and the effect color palettes have on base colors!

Basic breakdown of this loop. I sketch the idle animation first, then clean it up by aligning the clean pieces with the rough animation. Like a 2D sprite from a video game.
the duality of life
It’s so funny that movies in film festivals boast about how long their standing ovations are. Aint no way any movie is getting standing-o longer than 10 seconds. Oh yeah? You’re movie got a 9 minute standing ovation? people just stood there clapping for 9 minutes? did they go insane?
