It was pointed out on a couple platforms on Saturday night, as the World Cup gets into full swing, that the flag of the United States is being roundly booed in some venues, and there may have been a time in my life where I wouldn't have immediately understood why, although being in the latter portion of Generation X, those times are few and far between. I am under no illusion that this nation has made enemies to spare over my lifetime, but sometimes, you had to at least take a moment to guess and thumb through the current events file in your head to figure it out.
