Just learned from a reddit post a friend sent that Alex Cimo passed away. Absolutely fucking gutted man. Progression series and History of YuGiOh got me through so much of covid when I was most isolated and just jamming edopro lobbies constantly if not working or drunk.
listening to the Persona 3 soundtrack or the Pokke Village theme from MHFU makes me really emotional cus like... These games were my LIFEBLOOD as a teenager and I'm so happy to see them have such long term success

I used to bring my "weird" JRPGs to school and try to get my friends to play them -- surprise: most were not interested. I'd go home and play my games alone in my room, with no one to talk to about them.
Seeing these series get massive revivals and high-budget, smash-hit titles is healing :)
To clarify a bit: neither of these modes are me forcing myself to do anything I don't want to do, or pushing myself beyond my means. The problem is that I actively enjoy and want to do BOTH things at the same time, but one is often at the cost of the other in terms of time π«
