We used NEON data to identify microbial groups associated with soil nitrogen transformation rates across the U.S. and the environmental contexts where these relationships exist: doi.org/10.64898/202...

New year, new preprint! I’m excited to share this work with Nahuel Policelli, Abigail Li, Lindsey Adams, and Jenny M. Bhatnagar, "Microbial functional guilds and genes are key to explaining soil nutrient cycling alongside soil and plant variables": doi.org/10.1101/2024...
We determined which microbial characteristics calculated from amplicon sequencing data are most useful to explain soil N and P cycling in northeastern USA forests, and their importance relative to plant and soil factors. Thanks to all the amazing people involved on this project!
