it is really important to be loud about this stuff because it's typically kept very quiet to enable people to go "See? Nothing happened, it was just people being dramatic"
It's impossible to overestimate how important the RPG Maker community is to video games, so many classic games in the past 35 years were either made by the community or inspired by them.
To see one of their main knowledge banks nonchalantly wiped away like this is disgusting.
They’re going to keep doing this “sorry we got caught” shit and it’s 100% Expedition 33’s fault for kickstarting this being “acceptable”
GotchaGotchaGames dropped today that they're shutting down the official rpgmaker forums next week, and taking down access entirely come December...
Final Profit wouldn't exist without these forums, there's so much knowledge about to be lost. I'm mortified.

In short- worst case scenario of 4C warming by 2100 is no longer possible, new worst-case is 2.8C now

Ok, on God of War: Laufey. I hate that (and this happens with MANY games) we are just talking about the crazy gamergate anti-woke hate the game is getting. 1) who cares. 2) it paints a picture that the only criticism of the game is disingenuous. I have real reasons for thinking it looks bad!

So RPGMakerWeb.com is closing their forum with no plans to archive it. I don't believe it's a good idea to so willfully throw away a decade of tools, resources, and answers that a massive base of RPG Maker devs rely on.
