Peering into the room from the doorframe, blue orbs watched the agent regaining consciousness. She expected to be mistaken as the enemy— which technically she is. But even so, there was an odd desire to help.
Even so, no words were uttered right away, simply allowing him to collect himself.
A small whimper slipped out in pain as the rings dug into her arms. Her eyes were wide in fear, body shaking slightly but not daring to budge since she understood it could upset him further.
“He— He was here in this clinic, so I.. I figured he needed our help?”
A hiss in discomfort slipped out, body instinctively trying to pull away. It wasn’t out of defiance, but due to the pain itself she’s trying to free herself from.
She hadn’t faced an upset Gideon in so long that she barely recalled what he’s like— Or how royally she’d screwed up.
“I’m not—“
Her intentions were good and genuine, but there was an underlying soft spot which she’d started to develop for the agent. Especially when he seemed kind.
Respectfully staring.
And considering patching him up, of course—
Before she could dare to argue further, Raika shut up and tried to think logically. He wanted answers— so she’d give them as a means of perhaps lessening his growing anger.
“I was curious about him. And he wasn’t well, so I…”
She gestured to the footage with a nod of her head. She patched Leon up.
Not if she doesn’t say anything while in his presence. A risky loophole, but one nonetheless which should allow her to still tend to him.
