I think this is largely what is fueling much of the anti-incumbent sentiment among Democrats, far more than age or even placement on left – center balance. I think voters simply don’t want power to be put into the hands of Democrats who are all friends with these people.

When Hitler fell, the purging of that mindset wasn’t de-Hitlerification, it was de-Nazification. When Saddam fell, it wasn’t de-Saddamification, it was de-Baathification.
When Trump falls, it will be de-MAGAfication, not de-Trumpification. The entire movement’s hatred and corruption must be purged.
