This does not excuse the random acts of violence I wonāt if itās a reflection of the bigger issue. People donāt have meaningful prospects in their own lives so they identify with the team to be somebody. Do they lash out b/c, on some level, the win doesnāt give them the validation they were chasing?
Iām very sad seeing people in my city getting violent celebrating. Yes we are all happy the Knicks won. Hell, I had hope for Larry Johnson. But attacking our own city and innocent people is not the way. I know itās a small minority but we need to come together to show that behavior is not OK.
Seeing Musk become a trillionaire is a unique moment. To my mind itās a really great example of the flaws of capitalism. The dude has all the money in the world and is still morally bankrupt, incapable of happiness and a massive loser.
