After repeated delays, the Independent Cultural Review into NSW Police Force has just been released, and it's damning. Bullying, harrasment, assault, and discrimination are widespread.
While some of the recommendations may help, they're a bandaid solution. The Police were founded to violently enforce existing heirarchies. Sexism, racism and homophobia are baked in.

Cops are trained to lose their empathy and solve problems through violence, so we shouldnt be surprised when that's reflected in their behaviour towards each other.
