Just a reminder that if you’re a living queer over ~40, you’re a freaking survivor, no matter when you came out. We are now, many of us, well past the ages so many of our fallen ancestors weren’t able to reach.
Ageism has no place in queer liberation or feminism. Stamp it out.

The driver for changing away from this blanket policy was the deaths of 4 trans women in prisons around 2015/16. Now the courts seem to be saying trans people dying doesn't matter, ideology is more important, and more cruelty ensures.
