Wrrff… sleeeby…
Asobi asobase was pretty close, but even then that’s almost a decade old now…
Call me immature or whatever, but they just don't make 'em like they used it... Dokuro-chan, Plastic Nee-chan, Excel Saga, Jungle+Guu... I need goofy anime gals.
youtu.be/VNSPBg1xqHg?...
I want Bat-chan to be like an insane character you'd find in Zatch Bell with the tone of Bokusatsu tenshi Dokuro-Chan. Just really offputting and creepy but also somehow endearing?
Whenever I think of turn based boss battles, I think about FF4’s mist dragon or FF7’s guard scorpion, encounters that forced you to change your strategy and not just wail on the boss.
Hard to see it in this game, which looks like it revels in “hype anime moment” style fx over gameplay
Look at this precious lil nerd
And it’s like yeah I like watching chill movies and playing easy going games too!!! Nothing wrong about that.
I just wish people could learn to appreciate ANY art forms past what is given via the mainstream. It’s better for artists and audiences alike when ppl are curious and artists can be daring.
i have a disproportionately high number of trans friends and acquaintances (5) that I knew before they came out and literally 100% of them are lighter, happier versions of themselves post-transition/coming out/whatever. (some of yall are still grumpy af but less than before thank GOD jk jk jk)
Watching gameplay from FF:Resonance and it looks kinda meh…? Apparently it’s based off of Brave Exvius and ppl seem to rly like it but I never played
Don’t get me wrong, I love turn based combat, but in the video it kinda looked like they spammed literally whatever for 8 min with lots of flashy FX
Whenever a game comes out that’s difficult *coughminathehollowerbyyaghtclubgamescough* I always read the discourse and its kinda sad every time
Lots of people don’t wanna engage with challenging games, and while that’s fair, it just seem like people want surface level movie-like experiences instead
